The DELOS project has entered its second year of duration and has successfully established a sturdy stakeholders network in three countries (Spain, Greece and Cyprus), consisting of waste treatment/management plants managers and employees, waste producers in the agro-industrial field, environmental public authorities and academic institutions.
Contacts with professional organizations and participation of DELOS consortium in various events have rendered viable the raising of awareness on the environmental problem of agro-waste disposal.
The anaerobic co-digestion of biomass and waste can lead to efficient power generation, a concept that DELOS will continue realizing via identification of training needs for biogas plants in Europe and the implementation of a coherent and high-quality e-learning tool in 2015 that will facilitate the accreditation of competencies.
